This Verve Forecast disc of 33.33 rpm concerns the James Cotton Blues Band of which Mr. Cotton is a reknowned blues harmonica player, singer and composer who has recorded with many blues artists, such as Sonny Boy Williamson, Muddy Waters and Howlin' Wolf. The other band members are Luther Tucker, Alberto Gianquinto, Robert Anderson, Francis Clay, John Court and Michael Bloomfield.

Even though no stock disc of this lp was monaurally issued, this disc was an advanced copy that was monuarally released and only available to disc jockeys of radio stations. Also, this was the final Verve Forecast disc of 33.33 rpm that was monaurally available.
