Notes This Verve disc of 33.33 rpm concerns a folk singer named Dave Van Ronk who helped revive the American folk music genre and who was nicknamed the mayor of MacDougall Street, which is located in the Greenwich Village section of New York City. Though Mr. Van Ronk was a reknowned musician, he was also one who supported political causes of radical left-wing groups, such as the Liberterian league and the Trotskyist American Committe for the Fourth International.
