| | Mojofilter, of course you're right. This edition was most probably made in the UK, and when listening everybody will HEAR that it is a copy because one can hear a lot of crackling of the well used original the bootleggers have copied... anyway, it has a very good sound quality, and it was a fantastic concert! I had bought this record in 1975, and I'm very sad about the fact that I have sold it some years later... |

| | Possibly you misunderstood my comment. In bootlegging, there are no rules, and no honor among thieves. As the time when these were made recedes further into the past, it is harder and harder to identify which is the original pressing of a bootleg, and will become even more difficult, after the people who were around at the time have passed on. Because as soon as a new bootleg album hit the streets, another label got a copy and had it pressed up and reissued it on their own imprint; rinse and repeat. It was standard practice, and still is.
I would only post something if I knew it to be a fact. I don't post speculation or misinformation on public websites. I've been a bootleg collector for over 40 years, and I know a thing or two about them. TMOQ was the first label to release this recording with this artwork. It's been thoroughly documented. The copy of this album that you posted is a pirate of the TMQ because it has different labels than the original pressings. There are several other variations as well, all pressed by different bootleggers. |

| | TMoQ also is a bootleg label, so that might be the pot calling the kettle something, or however the saying goes. Most probably someone in Australia put it out before anybody else.... |

| | This is a pirate of the same album title and cover originally issued on Trade Mark Of Quality 61002, released 1974, with cover art by William Stout. |

| | Back and label scans added.
This has a rather eery atmosphere, the subdued applause reminds one of a jazz or classical audience, when there are no "stars" to be worshipped.
Seems to have been made somewhere in Europe, from the look of vinyl and cover.

| | Love to see some images of this one if possible.
I assume Desolation Row goes on for about three days, roughly? |
