Recorded and mixed at Giant Sound Studios, New York City on a Sony 24-track digital PCM-3324 and mixed to a Mitsubishi X-80.
Produced by John McClure and Peter Yarrow.
The black and white photo used on the front cover was taken right before the group was arrested for protesting on January 8, 1986. PP&M we’re at a demonstration at the South African Embassy where TransAfrica presented Bishop Desmond Tutu with one million signatures on the Freedom Letter supporting South Africans and Tutu specifically. The photo was taken by USA Today photographer John Robb.
It had been nine years since their last album and also marked the 25th anniversary of the group.
The album was nominated for the first year ever Best Contemporary Folk Album category at the 29th Annual Grammy Awards but lost to the Tribute to Steve Goodman album with multiple artists.
The record peaked at #173.
