Nymphs one and only album, over and above their only EP, and a couple of singles (and 12"s).
label mates with Nirvana, and certainly contemporary with them in terms of their sound, in that they were a "grunge" band...
I would define the sound better as being Metal-studded-punky-grunge-rock, as the guitar sounds are certainly of the grunge variety, but the drums and bass frequently drift into what is recognisably a more traditional metal sound.
The production is typical of the time too, sounding a lot sonically like Pearl Jam's: Ten, or early Soundgarden, with that "recorded in an empty warehouse/abandoned studio loft" spaciousness.
The lead singer has some kind of Siouxsie & the Banshees punk goddess aspiration vibe going on, and only occasionally wandering into hopeful supermodel attempt at credibility squeal, but largely she pulls it off (so to speak :).
Oh, and Iggy Pop sings on: Supersonic.
(Well, "sings" is not quite the word for it, he actually provides repeated backing vocal chants of "Supersonic Baby" , and speaks/incants/mumbles/rambles at the beginning).
Good album overall... sits well with the aforementioned Pearl Jam album, and Nirvana's thing, so if you like them and were into that, but missed this first time round, it might just be your cup 'o' mud.
