LaurenceD SUBS 20th Dec 2019
| | I just looked at the personnel list on the inner sleeve again and noticed that Larry Byrom (yes, the Steppenwolf guy) is credited... as the piano player (?!).
I'll have to go back and watch Solo Trans again and see what he's doing... |

| | Don't be so quick to call this purposefully uncommercial because it was released during the time the Stray Cats were near the top of the U.S. charts. This album made # 46 in the U.S. & # 50 in England on the album charts. |

| | LaurenceD - if your front sleeve doesn't have the stickers on; it might be worth posting it as well.
I'm not sure if Neil still has the D'Angelico New Yorker he's 'playing' on the front cover. It's a $50,000+ guitar. |

| | Promo Copies are Stickered and pressed on Quiex Vinyl. A test for this is to hold the vinyl up to a strong light. It should have a slightly translucent quality. |

| | I believe that both this album & the "Trans" album contributed to the situation. Yep, "rock & roll" in the most literal sense. Good for Neil... |

| | Didn't the story go that they were unhappy with his previous album, insisting he go and make a "rock and roll album" - which to p*ss them off he went ahead and did, rather more literally than they'd meant. |

| | Geffen Records sued Neil over this release, claiming that he was purposefully making "uncommercial" records. It's a departure for Neil, but I like it. |
