Back cover scan added (sorry about someone writing on the back). Back cover says this compilation was produced by Murray the K. Most of the tracks are rechanneled Stereo, even though many of the tracks were available in true Stereo at the time. Really thin, tinney sound, and several songs have been shortened, 4 example, Steppenwolf's "Magic Carpet Ride" begins with the words "I like to dream...".

"Hey Girl Don't Bother Me" by THE TAMS was actually from 1964 Record Collector, though it became a U.K. #1 in 1971 (and no doubt hit elsewhere at the same time).

The Tams track on here "Be Young Be Foolish Be Happy" was a moderate U.S. hit in 1968 (#61 BB, #26 BB R&B) and an even bigger hit when eventually issued in Britain (#32 in 1970). According to my sister B12 was routinely renamed "Be Young, Be Foolish, Be Careful" at the time. :)

Interesting typo on the label for THE DELLS release (B9) as well. Surely the correct title should be "Wear It On Our Face".

Got B1 on a single! Once had an American "SSS International"(Shelby Singleton's label), but that got busted(....awww!), but was lucky to find an Australian issue on the Festival label a year or so back(...Yay!). Better B-side to that single is a song called "Lonely Room". Should note that "...Bamalama" was penned by Otis Redding, no less!
