Note: The artist known as "Smith Casey" throughout this recording was born "Casey Smith" but (possibly due to error) on his death certificate it stated "Smith Casey" so that is the name given as the artist.

The Lomaxes made 3 collecting trips in the 1930s and these recordings come from their 1934 & 1939 trips.
