I paid a fiver today for a very beaten up original copy of this because it is so rare. I can just tell it had the usual London/Decca flip back sleeve with curved cutaways. The front is laminated the back isnt. Printers note is McN10.59 (October 1959), old style London logo, plum labels.

Black labels on "London" first appeared in 1967.Earlier pressings, issued with a "Plum" label, were subsequently issued with a Black label if & when re-pressed.

Black labels added. Always wondered when these black label Londons were issued. Anyone know?

Track B3 was not written by CP.This was due to Sam Philips lack of a search for the original source. There is actually a clause in the copyright that denies royalty to the estate of CP.A release in 1957,on Decca,by The York Brothers, credits the writers as "Johnny"Country"Mathis & Webb Pierce".However, there was also a release of the song,on Acme,by Gene Thompson, but was uncredited,in 1951.A research of the composer credit goes back to 1936,for Alabama singer,Rex Griffin.
