Allenby's name, incorrectly or not, is on the composers' credits and and should not be omitted. Here we don't write what we know or what we suppose, but what we see on the covers and the labels. Besides, if Dez Allenby was not involved in these recordings, this doesn't mean that he could not have contributed to the writing of the songs. And "Leave My Woman Alone" is indeed written by Ray Charles.

This was clearly an un-authorised reproduction of a couple of BBC recordings, taken (like the Trees) from a couple of BBC session cassettes you could find in places like Camden
Which were exactly the BBC shows these songs come from, is a bit uncertain.

If I check this BBC Sessions the first four songs come from an August '71 Sunday Concert, from Forest MK2 with David Panton (vla, s) and Dave Stubbs (b) but without Dez Allenby. Last four songs should instead come from a Bob Harris session, from October 1972, as indicated in this essential book. Actually the track listing is the same, so Stubbs and Panton should be there, but instead you can't hear them playing, soo... who knows?

The Terrascope article gave a May '72 date for the last four songs, but stating to the Ken Garner book, they performed other songs in that show.

Whatever is, especially the Mark2 line-up tracks are really good and interesting

PS: the credits, apart from Ray Charles are indicative, as Allenby was most likely not involved in these recordings. On this Italian semi-pirate album (later pirated itself on CD!) the credits were really wrong and incomplete
