"The Daisy 'D' Jamboree was started in 1970. It originated from the Daisy 'D' school Xmas concert supervised by Marquerite Houston (Leamy) and carried on by Mrs. T. Anderson. Harry Fife on the fiddle or mandolin and Harold Fife on the banjo played for the Scottish & Irish dances and the drills. These Xmas concerts were performed in the Norwood Town Hall to a large audience." Artists' home towns noted.
