ReviewThe only Def Lepper album you'll ever really need...
...In fact, for the casual Deffard fan (like me), you'll only really need side one of this album, as the run of four songs of: Rocket, Animal, Love Bites, and: Pour Some Sugar On Me are the only ones I already knew, and this probably represents their peak in popular culture.
(I only bought this because I found it in great condition, and I knew those songs)
They were kind of seen as a poor man's Iron Maiden (Maiden-Lite), or Bon Jovi-esque (now there's an expression you thought you'd never hear!) type outfit at the time I recall... amazing what a couple of decades of re-appraisal, and how subsequent years of shit music in the charts can throw a new light on bands like this isn't it?
(But maybe I was just hanging around with people who were musically too snobbish at the time)
...Anyway, It's a consistent album all the way through, so if you remember, and like those four songs, you'll like the rest of it.
I do.
(And though I have all I think I need of theirs, I may even try other Def Leppard albums now, if I find them! :)
