Hawkmarty SUBS 28th Jul 2024		Later "Night & Day" labels added. The sleeve has an additional line on the back showing EMI's involvement and each disc has been assigned a new catalogue number. The sleeve has the same set catalogue number as the original issue.



Hawkmarty SUBS 27th Apr 2024		Such a weird pressing. The vinyl is really thin for Island releases of the time and the matrices are scratched rather than stamped. They feel like CBS discs from a lot later. The typeface looks odd too, not the usual Island. All that plus the US sleeve with the Asylum logo. Very strange.



Fokeman 22nd Aug 2019		Review This is one of the most important double-live albums in existence. It shows The Band in absolute prime performance mode. Their partnership with Dylan and the film "The Last Waltz" which included The Band, Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Emmylou Harris, Neil Young and several more was similarly, a classic of its genre. That being said, Dylan is not always at his best when singing with just his guitar. He sings "All Along The Watchtower" in such a way as to make Jimi Hendrix's version seem even better, virtually talking in poodle-yaps all the way through. I say that but I'm a Dylan fan. He just doesn't always do what he does best. Compare the live versions of some of these tracks on "Live At The Budokan" and you'll see he has it in him to do better. Still, this is an album that is such a classic that any reservations that you have about Dylan being not at his very best, pale when you have Dylan and The Band in their true glory. 6 people found this review helpful. ✔︎ Helpful Review?



Fokeman 22nd Aug 2019		Oddly enough, my sleeve says printed in the USA on the back right corner. Am I alone? The vinyl seems to be a UK pressing though... I think Leonard's image here also has the "Printed in USA" in the bottom right hand corner. It wasn't issued in the USA on Island so it must have been a special print job or just that they forgot to remove the text when copying the graphics.
