Notes

Credits taken from sleeve as there are many differences to the labels.
The sleeve lists "The Lord Is In This Place" as "The Lord Is In This Place How Dreadful Is This Place".

The “”MOJO presents Island Folk…..An Acoustic Celebration”” CD, ( given away free with Mojo May 2009 ), has Fairports’ “She Moves ThroughThe Fair” writing credit to Denny/Hutchings/Lamble. Obviously a mistake.

Second design pink labels added. This one can now be added to the pantheon of releases on all three pink labels.

Added later pink labels (matrix # ILPS + 9092 + A2, ILPS + 9092 +B3) and sleeve detail showing printers name.

Quick comment re these pressings. One shown is original front laminated with pink Isand label 'eye' logo to left. Next pressing (about 6 months or so later) fully laminated cover with 'eye' logo central. Pics pending.

 Ah yes... sorry about that.

(I was too wrapped up in the sleeve in my hand :)

Yes. I put that in the notes. :-)

...and "The Lord is in this place" gives only that on the label, but the back cover gives the full title:

"The Lord is in this place... How dreadful is this place"

Also, just realised that the Traditional arr. Fairport song: "She Moves Through The Fair", is what Simple Minds based: "Belfast Child" on.

Got the first labels issue of this last week at a boot-fair (very happy!)...

...And I see these almost never turn up with anything approaching a mint sleeve (Mine has a wrinkly laminate and a bit ring-wear on the back)... hence the theoretical "mint" values attached to it.

I see a couple around though, where the yellow text on the back is almost a luminous green... is this a genuine difference, or just the quality of the photos I see online?

(Almost nothing in the deadwax except matrix numbers too)

hawkmarty: indeed - their first lp (with judy dyble vocalist) was on polydor (/68), after the single if i had a ribbon bow on track records (2/68).

D'oh! In their calendar, "free" with the December issue of Record Collector, this is cited as the debut from Fairport.
Debut LP on Island maybe.

Added labels from a much later pressing - 1980s??
