Ian Hunter, in his book Diary Of A Rock 'n' Roll star commented 'I remember on our first album a number called "The Road To Birmingham" was put on the album instead of "Rock 'n' Roll Queen" - we didn't even know about it until after the release. They changed it after the first 5,000 copies.'
I have one of the rarer copies. On side 1 instead of "Backsliding Fearlessly" there is "Road to Birmingham". On side 2 "Backsliding Fearlessly" replaces "Rock and Roll Queen".
My copy matrix numbers are just A and B.
Apparently this was originally issued with an incorrect track listing and was replaced by a correct pressing after 5000 copies.
Both copies look identical but the matrix numbers change from A and B to A//2 and B//2.
