@Terence Archer..........I have to agree, at this late date, I also prefer the pink label, as I guess it's an age thing.
When I was buying Island product in the late '60s/early '70s, they all had the pink label.
I'm sure that the artwork for the "Palm Tree" logo and layout cost Mr, Blackwell a small fortune, but I know he could afford it.

Printers noted for the two versions: E & J Day Group and Robor Limited.
They will go on the list.

As an addenda take a shufty at this page it shows all the Island album labels with dates used, and then high quality blanks of the album labels pre artist printing details - hats off to whomever did that..........cool.

"Palm Tree" label image added. Horrible!
Have always thought Island's previous label designs more interesting. Anyone have similar views?
YankeeDisc: The sleeve with this "Palm Tree" issue is "Printed in England by Robor Limited".
LP purchased in Denmark.

....I cannot read it exactly, scan #2820, but the sleeve info. looks like

"Printed and made by the E & J Day Group London And Bedford".

If confirmation can be made, I would be grateful, as I intend starting a forum about LP sleeves and who manufactured them.

I had the privilege to see this group circa 1970, live, Sandy Denny was just.....wonderful.
