candiman SUBS 5th May 2020		A great album. Introduced to me in the late 70s by the chief barman at a club I used to DJ at (thankyou John). Borrowed his copy of the album and used to play "On Broadway" a lot at the club (my sets were always Jazz-Funk/Disco/Soul). I should say this is the first time I remember being aware of this album. More recently, a few years ago now, I was looking through some of my old gig programs and found a feature on Jess, with this album's picture, at the back of a 1974 Colston Hall Roxy Music program. I have no recollection of of seeing Jess then, I was probably in the bar! My loss.

YankeeDisc SUBS 14th Oct 2013		*What The Hell* ....also ex-Alan Bown Set, a fine singer, caught him at The Marquee, 1974? had this album, inexplicably now disappeared, a great track, that builds......... Simon Kirke (Drums), Mick Weaver (Hammond B3 Organ), ?? (Fender Rhodes), ?? (Piano), ?? (Electric Bass), ?? Guitar), ?? (Backup Vocals).



kab2112 SUBS 13th Oct 2013		There's an excellent version of "On Broadway" on this album. Can't understand why Jess Roden didn't really become a much bigger success, as he had a fantastic voice, and made some very good tracks with the band Bronco.
