 This LP reached No. 43 in the Album charts, entering the charts on 18th December, for one week.

 This band was overly hyped in the British Music Press (NME) and were well respected and loved in their native Britain. However, like Oasis their home appeal didn't seem to travel so well and when I finally got a copy in Australia on import months after release I was quite disappointed and like Oasis this album is average at best. It does contain an out an out classic though in "Teenage Depression" but the rest is fairly average self-penned pub rock.
Historically, the band like Dr. Feelgood are an important pre-cursor to the British punk movement. The onslaught of punk though consumed Eddie and The Hot Rods and made them look and sound lame in comparison and they faded away after cutting a decent 45 in the form of "Do Anything You Wanna Do". That is the view from abroad.
