My copy has a sticker plastered across the top (Image #747211).

To me what is just as important on these releases as the music are the D.J. announcements, jingles and commercials. Some of the Radio Station promotions are a hoot, in particular the Extra Sensory Perception competition (but I suppose you all knew that anyway).

To anyone who used to listen to the British "Pirate" station Radio London (The Big L) in the mid 1960s the KLIF jingles will sound instantly familiar as some were recycled for use on "Big L". The people who owned KLIF were essentially the same people who set up Radio London. The very same jingles were again adapted for use on BBC Radio One when that started in late 1967.

And ... anyone who is a fan of John Waters 1988 film "Hairspray" (the original version with Ricki Lake, Divine, Debbie Harry, Sonny Bono etc. etc.) might notice that Mr. Waters strung together "Duke Of Earl" and "You'll Lose A Good Thing" in his movie in a way that was suspiciously similar to how it was done on this L.P.

These are not original broadcasts, they are re-creations. Some of the volumes in this series feature later re-makes of certain songs, which makes it painfully obvious...

@Neil Forbes. These are a Series of Disc's aimed at DJ's to improve there Technique. They are the Original 1950's to early 60's Radio Broadcasts from the Original Station Tapes. They were Re-Issued on CD by a Company Called EAP (East Anglia Productions) Who do all The Pirate Radio Jingles (IE: Caroline. Veronica, London, RNI. even Radio 1) on CD and Even Full Broadcasts Either CD or Vinyl. They are Just Fun. I have the Full Set on CD. You just got one of the Not so Good Ones. H.

Having a deejay "back-announcing" or introducing the tracks, just spoils the albums over-all!

Neil I have a solution I have the songs without the wolfman jack intros inserted to the American graffiti soundtrack the book of love for example

The featuring of this Russ "Weird Beard" Knight from Station KLIF-Dallas would be a right pain in the arse if he was anything like that ultra-moronic "Wolfman Jack", whose stupid inane rants totally spoiled the American Graffiti and More American Graffiti albums.

Existing scans are 1970 pressing. Added 1972 labels with GRT Corp distr. Covers and track contents are the same on both pressings. One long track on each side.
