pudgym 15th Mar 2017		This title is on my roster of cut-out LPs bought in the late 1970s. It cost $1.00. But I can't get to it now (its rack is behind a bunch of other boxes) to ascertain if it is the U.S. or Canadian release.

Neil Forbes 7th Jan 2015		With my earlier comment to R.C. I was referring to the first 4 tracks on Side A that really are the pick of the tracks, not taking anything away from the rest of the album(my comment from 5 hours earlier, that is), this really is one of River's best. This is a great introduction to Johnny Rivers for anyone who had never heard him before.



Neil Forbes 7th Jan 2015		PhilMH has filled in the blanks re: the Aussie release of NLOF(abbreviated to initials for ease of reference). As I said, I saw the Australian issue at a record fair some years ago but didn't buy it as I already had this Canadian issue.

You'll find it on the CD - "The Best Of Johnny Rivers" EMI 814610-2 at Tr.9, followed on Tr.10 by "Tracks Of My Tears" which can also be found on "Portrait Of Johnny Rivers" EMI/Axis CDAX-701479 at Track 4.

Neil Forbes 7th Jan 2015		Right, R.C.! Do you have this LP? If so, give "Spare Me A Little", "Same Old Song"(opening track) and "Can I Change My Mind" a play. These are the first four in the set and they're real knock-out tracks!, but then it's a bloody-good album all-up!

Neil Forbes 7th Jan 2015		Before uploading this, I quickly checked to see if it hadn't already been added by another 33catter. This is the Canadian issue of this album. I do know it has been issued in Australia but I don't know its catalogue number. Saw it at a record fair but didn't buy it as I already had this one. I don't know the US catalogue number either. But by posting this, hopefully it will draw out the other oh-so-shy copies from their hiding places! Note the Soul City logo on the back cover, it does not appear on the label(nor should it, only the Epic logo should appear there).
