Thanks Phil I have sent in a correction based on your info here. Oh, by the way I'm back to finishing off entering my albums after being ill for a while so I'll see round here in the near future.

Cheers

Lee

Hi Lee, this is a reissue from about mid-1980; Arista was distributed by EMI Australia up to the end of 1979 before switching to Festival, and the 1978 original had catalogue number AL 4169 (almost the same as the US original, AB-4169), entered the album chart the week of 1 May 1978 and peaked at #24. The August 1980 AMSCAT shows a couple of Lou's other Arista albums with nearby catalogue numbers, THE BELLS (L 37214, previously AL 4229, #58 in 1979) and ROCK 'N' ROLL HEART (L 37211, previously AL 4100, # 68 in 1976) but for some reason this one isn't listed, so I don't know if that was an oversight by AMSCAT or if Festival delayed it for some reason. Maybe earlybird has some release sheets from the period?

In 1978 the Godfather of punk returns with his best album since Transformer and most aggressive sound since the Velvet Underground. Another short lived comeback for Reed who would rival Johnny Thunders at snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. This or the diabolical live Take No Prisoners was the last Lou Reed album I bought and I'm happy to leave it at that.
