Notes The Epinette des Vosges is very similar to what we may know as the Appalachian dulcimer. It usually has five strings and can be played with chords and with drone strings left open. This album was made after several years of research into the instrument and its manufacture. Jean-François Durtertre, épinette des Vosges; Yves Guilcher, whistles, recorder; Claude Lefebvre, guitar; Dominique Maroutian, banjo, autoharp; Emmanuelle Parrenin - Fromont, épinette des Vosges, tambourine; Dominique Regef, violin.
