An error at the printers' on the first issue of this box set led to the first record which was called "Tater Beer Night" being printed as "Pater Beer Night". The highly educated printers had only heard of the word Pater and didn't know that Tater is abbreviation for Potater or Potato.

First issue came with a flimsy, thin cardboard sleeve which very soon became damaged and worn. Realising this problem but unable to take delivery of the stiffer cardboard box to accompany the set before sending out the first batch, the record company promised that anyone purchasing the original set was able to send off for the stiff box to put the set in.

As a result, it is actually more difficult to find the flimsy sleeve than the stiff box set. Later versions of the stiff box set came with turquoise or pale blue labels. Only the earliest edition had these dark blue labels with silver text. Compare this label with the Topic label at the same time - (Blue with silver text). Perhaps not a coincidence?
