Notes

The Staple Singers were a gospel group that consisted of Roebuck "Pops" Staple, son Pervis and daughters, Cleothra and Mavis. The first public appearance of the Staple Singers took place at the Mount Zion Chuch in Chicago where the reverend Chester Staple, who was the brother of Pops Staple, was the pastor. After this group signed their first professional
contract, they recorded in an acoustic gospel-folk style by means of various labels, such as United Records, Vee-Jay
Records, thru which the tunes "Uncloudy Day" and "Will the Circle Be Unbroken?" were top sellers, Checker Records,
Riverside Records, and then Epic Records thru which this group had recorded these five albums: Amen!, Freedom Highway, Why, Pray On and For What It's Worth.

By means of this Epic album, all these twelve tunes are considered "musically theraputic" simply because the symbolic
messages empower one to achieve one's personal and professional goals without fearing any discrimination nor riduiclue. Furthermore, the majority of church attendees became so strong thru such church support that many attendees had
established their own houses of worship to empower newer generations of individuals who need the healing of the Lord.

Even though this Epic disc of 33.33 rpm did not sell well, the Staple Singers had continued to professionally record gospel music thru which two tunes had become top selling hits in the early 1970s due to the fact that this group had true faith in God and had refused to let anyone attempt to stop their ambitions to prosperity.
