 Oops, no, my bad, it looks like Jasmine was a UK label, it was just that a couple of these LP's were on sale on ebay, and they were both being sold from the U.S. Doh!, so, your copyright theory sounds right, cheers!

 This may have been a way around any copyright issues from pressing these in the US. Copyright law was not as strict in Jamaica. And it was easy to press and import from Jamaica. Was Jasmine a NYC area label?

 Yes, i find it curious, who were the intended market?, if they were on Jasmine in the U.S then they would not be made for that market, so, i can only assume there must have been a market for these in Jamaica?, perhaps for American expat's? (or, more likely, American tourists;)

 I have 3 more numbered up to 1016. None of which have any useful matrix info as to who pressed these in Jamaica.
