Michael Olsen, professionally known Lee Michaels, is a rock musician who initiated his career with a California-based group called the Sentinals, which had specialized in surf rock music. Mr. Michaels was renowned for playing the Hammond organ and primarily having a single drummer whose birth name was Bartholomew Eugene Smith-Frost, but was professionally called “Frosty.”

When Mr. Michaels had signed a contract with A & M records in 1967, his first disc of 33.33 rpm, “Carnival of Life” was his only LP disc that was both monaurally and stereofonically issued in in both the United States and Canada. Shortly afterward, two tunes of this disc, “Love” and “Sounding the Sleeping” were issued simultaneously issued by means of the A & M 911 disc of 45 rpm. Despite the fact that neither the disc of 33.33 rpm nor the disc of 45 rpm sold well, one magazine publication had considered Mr. Michaels the “ultimate power organist.”
