Notes

So many errors in this issue as to need a list to explain them all.

Some of the tunes are just listed as a "Selection of Reels" or "Selection of Jigs". Some performers have their names completely wrong such as "Tommy McCale" who should be "Tommy McHale" or the wrong spelling as used by Outlet "Tom McHaile".

Assaroe Ceili Band is rendered as Assroe Celidhe Band. Aherlow, as in "The Valley of Aherlow" is given as Aherloe. One artist (unknown) is given as "Comic Song" and the place name Garryowen in Co. Limerick is given as Garry-Owen. The Pat Corbett Quintet becomes "The Pat Corbett Quintett". I don't think the word Quintett even exists in the English language.

The person who made the recording was Martin Costello. The final track on the B side claims to be by his orchestra but he lived just outside New York so presumably he gave this name instead of the actual artists present. On the back of the LP he gives his county as Essex which is also presumably the county in New Jersey rather than in the UK. "Fill The Fluter Ball" should be "Phil the Fluter's Ball". Many of these tracks were issued by Martin Costello as singles on the same Banshee label.

Despite the catalogue number 15, it is clear that this is the first LP on the label and the second is number 16. I've yet to discover the logic for this.
