The info of this disc is found by means of the 17 August 1968 edition of the Record World magazine on page 60.

Ramon (Monguito) Santamaria, Jr., the son of the well-renowned Mongo Santamaria, is a Cuban-born American musician who arranges the majority of the music that he utilizes, conducts his own band with which he often plays the piano.

Even though Monguito was mostly reared in the greater New York City and Miami areas, he played the Afro-Cuban and Afro-jazz music that his father had innovated. The tune "Juicy" was an ultra-popular song within the Spanish communities of many major US and Canada cities. Despite the fact that most of the tunes are strumental, Ronnie Marks sings the vocals of "Juicy."
Another tune that Monguito had composed was "Guajira y Son" was a dedication to show his father the apprecitation of the extensive time and effort that Mr. Santamaria had taught Monguito to be a proseprous musician.

Though this disc did NOT sell well beyond the Spanish people who enjoyed such music, this disc is highly sought after to the level that a very good condition disc is likely to sell for $100 and a sealed copy could easily be sold for greater than or equal to $500 due to the ever increasing popularity of Spanish influential music.
