Secarius 18th Dec 2018		I, too, have the stereo version (WDS 657) -- with no cover unfortunately. (here) It sounds very much like stereo studio recordings with mono crowd noises. This is evidenced in that you can hear the word "fuck" right about 1:26 after the track (crowd noises) begins. In the studio release, it is around :54.

jaimeeduardo 29th Sep 2013		The studio version of Louie Louie reached Billboard #2 in Nov. 1963. It one of the most influential rock songs ever; even proposed as the Washington State state song (it's a local product-- Kingsmen from Portland, Oregon). The anarchic qualities of sound and lyrics of Louie, Louie set it apart. Pub. date 1963 is probable.
