Notes

After the success of the previous three golden hits of Elvis, this fourth RCA disc of 33.33 rpm is an ultra-difficult record to find despite the fact that all the tunes of this disc are easy to find by means of vinyl and compact discs. However, this golden hits compilation disc of Elvis, unlike the stereofonic counterpart, is the rare monaural disc that was pressed in smaller quantities in 1968, which was the year that most record companies had eliminated monaural disc pressings in favor of the stereo issues. Furthermore, so many music listeners had greatly enjoyed Elvis that most of these listeners wanted to purchase a copy of this monaural disc before RCA had stopped issuing such discs.

Even though this was the penultimate Elvis disc of 33.33 rpm that was monaurally issued, this disc will not only be remembered by means of these tracks and the front monaural jacket, but also the inner jacket that contained all the previous discs of 33.33 rpm which featured the new RCA logo that was first utilized in the fall of 1968. A near mint copy of this disc of 33.33 rpm monaural may easily sell for more than $1000 simply because vinyl record collectors will pay any high price just to own such an ultra-rare disc.

Lastly, the final RCA disc of 33.33 rpm of Elvis that was both monaurally and stereophonically issued was the Speedway album.
