After Herb Alpert had signed Brasil ’66 to the A and M label, this group not only had achieved international fame by means of their bossa nova style of music, but had also became renowned with two female singers who sang the lead vocals of several tunes, such as “The Look of Love“, The Fool On The Hill” and “Scarborough Fair”, that were previously popularized by various recording artists.

Brasil ’66 also had recorded and had released three previous discs of 33.33 rpm that also had worldly sold. This disc, A & M LPX-160, not only was a top five winner, but surprisingly was also the final A and M disc that was issued both monaurally and stereophonically despite the fact that the A & M LP-146, “Beat of the Brass”, disc of Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass was believed to be the final A and M monaural disc that was issued to the record shops.
