This disc of 33 rpm is the third disc of Martin Denny, who specializes in music exotica. At the time that this disc was recorded in March 1958, the Denny group had spent nine months at the Bora Bora Lounge which is located at the International Market Place which is in the center of Waikiki, Hawaii. Furthermore this was the first Liberty disc of 33 rpm that was issued in true stereo due to the fact that the stereofonic edition of this disc has the Liberty LST-7001 catalog number. Also, when the Exotica Volume 1 disc of 33 rpm was first issued in 1957, this disc was only monaurally recorded and available. Two years later, this Exotica Volume 1 disc was re-recorded both monaurally and stereofonically, thus, the 1959 issue of Exotica Volume 1 disc of 33 rpm was both monaurally and stereofonically available in record shops. Finally, the Quiet Village disc of 45 rpm which was successful in 1959, was not only a re-recorded, but also an edited mono re-recording simply because the re-recorded LP edition of Quiet Village had too many minutes to which this entire tune could be issued by means of a disc of 45 rpm.
