| | Many thanks, new to this site and learning how it works.
That was one of many mysteries/questions I have regarding my Turner Collection.
Perhaps I'll find the answers here.
Thanks Again. |

| | I'm not sure about "normal", but looking in Discogs, there seem to be a few, especially on the later UA "sunburst" label for Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Vikki Carr, and others. Perhaps at some point they ran out of (or destroyed?) Liberty label blanks and just pressed any further copies on UA as needed. |

| | I understand most of what your saying, but when U/A acquired Liberty records was it normal for United Artists to take a recording on Liberty Records and press additional recordings and use their U/A company label on a other wise Liberty record label? |

| | United Artists shut down the Liberty label in 1971, and the artist roster and catalogue was transferred to United Artists.
But wait, there's more - after EMI bought United Artists Records in the late 70s, they were no longer able to use the United Artists name, so Liberty was revived! In the last decade or so, Liberty was again phased out, and the catalogue is now with Capitol Records (ditto for the Aladdin, Imperial and Minit labels, all previously under UA's control). |

| | Need help , I have 3 copies on the LP on Liberty with 3 different label print/layout.
And a 4th copy ( with the matrix # on the jacket. Label, and dead vinyl) but it's on a UnitedArtists Record Label.
How is this possible? |
