LaurenceD SUBS 28th Aug 2021		Although it's not mentioned in the sleeve notes, these tracks seem to have been culled from two RCA Victor albums from 1947, M-1086 "Folk Songs And Ballads" and M-1107 "Folk Songs And Ballads, Volume II". However I cannot account for "Fare Thee Well"; perhaps it had been previously released with a different title... Just speculating: I wonder if the positive response from Susan's Elektra LP from 1954 prompted someone at RCA to unearth these recordings for a cash-in attempt. The 1954 release date is an estimate; could be early 1955.
