After his brief stint with Certron Records, Ronnie ended up on Decca Records under the wing of Owen Bradley. The partnership resulted in two minor country hits and an album, the self titled "Ronnie Dove", issued after Decca became MCA. The album contains a smooth blend of soft country with lush string backgrounds mixed within Ronnie's million selling voice. It's a shame that this album didn't become a hit, because its great. It features a few covers of others hits and Ronnie handles them very well. Fans of Ronnie's and fans of a softer country sound should seek out this album.
