 Poor Allen Collins had a lot of tragedy in his life. A founder member of Lynyrd Skynyrd, he was seriously injured in the plane crash on 20th October 1977 which wiped out a few band members and seriously injured some others. When he recovered, he teamed up with ex Skynyrd guitarist Gary Rossington to form the excellent Rossington Collins band, who were very underrated. In 1980, his wife suddenly died, and in 1986 he was involved in a serious car crash that left him paralyzed from the waist down. He sadly passed away on 23rd January 1990 aged 37 due to chronic pneumonia. RIP Allen
