 1978 looks right to me too; Australian CBS edition was SBP 237219, which fits in with other 1978 albums in Michael De Looper's CBS listing; there were at least three other Chieftains albums issued in Oz in the same time frame (THE CHIEFTAINS LIVE, BONAPARTE'S RETREAT and THE CHIEFTAINS 3, SBP 237213, 237214 and 237216 respectively; the last not on Michael's listing but found in Discogs with a wrong year; I suspect SBP 237215 was a Chieftains issue too, but neither Michael nor Discogs has that one).

 Excuse me; Music Master 1996 puts thes CBS reissues at AUG 1978 - fit much better in CBS 80000 series!!!!!

 1964 date must be the recordings' original release; this cbs edition was 1973.
