RC, I don't have the entire set, only four volumes(and some songs turn up on more than one volume) but for each one I do have, there's quite a useful mix on each volume. 10 tracks per volume, I should add.
I have "Mama Told Me" on a volume of an MCA series, "Vintage Music Collector's Series", #19, shows the track(at Side 1/Tr.1) as 1969 and gives the original Dunhill 45rpm number as 4239. The series of LPs was being issued in 1987 while MCA was under Warner distribution and this volume's catalogue number was 5343-1.
There are two tracks that don't belong in the set as they are both "Recording First Published 1969"(to borrow from pre-1965 45rpm issues), they are A1, Tracy(Cuff-Links) and A5 Mama Told Me(Three Dog Night). These tracks often appear in compilations like this and in Sixties compilations as well. Fair enough for Sixties but not for Seventies compilations.
