My copy of this LP looks like most mono albums. Front cover mono Cat#, and label plainly marked "Monaural". But the record plays in glorious STEREO! I have read that Mercury/Smash did this on several albums during the late 60's transition to all stereo. This might have been a problem for a buyer who needed a mono disc to play without damage from his mono cartridge.

edlongus SUBS 29th Apr 2018		Yes, the stamped matrix numbers in the dead wax are 2/61102 A 1 and 2/61102 B 1. Over at the Both Sides Now website, they discuss a little about the Mercury label albums experiment where Stereo albums were placed in Mono jackets (under 'The Switch to Stereo-Only Album Releases...').

vidman45 2nd Mar 2014		Has anyone else ever bought a sealed LP in a mono cover, with label printed MONAURAL on the label, that plays in true stereo? This is the one that I have.
