Dischi Ricordi took over MGM release and distribution rights from Compagnia Generale del Disco in July 1966. The above album is the only one to have been handled by that company.

The above album is an Italian concept of USA MGM E/SE 4298 CONNIE FRANCIS SINGS THE ALL TIME INTERNATIONAL HITS and similar in approach to GERMANY MGM (6)65 061 MELODIEN DIE DIE WELT EROBERN. Recorded specifically for this collection were:

- ET MAINTENANT,
- RAGAZZO DI IPANEMA
- LA DANZA DI ZORBA
- MORITAT
- CASTTELLI DI SABBIA

..........all of which have similar arrangements to original English-sung performances, and SOLO PIU CHE MAI, with a backing different to that of its English-sung original, STRANGERS IN THE NIGHT, on USA LP MGM E/SE 4382 MOVIE GREATS OF THE 60's.

Album cover, liner and labels list titles in an inconsistent manner. Most are provided in Italian, but only some with original English in parenthesis. Others are given in English, with Italian equivalents in brackets. WHERE THE BOYS ARE has been credited as QUALCUNO MI ASPETTA, This, in fact, is the Italian title given to the movie, the song from which is known as C'E QUALCUNO. Both TANGO DELLA GELOSIA and CHITARRA ROMANA are listed under the Italian title, and not the English under which they were credited when first released.
