PhilMH 14th Apr 2023		MGM's purchase of Verve was announced in Cash Box of 3rd December 1960, and the issue of 25th February 1961 announced the formation of an MGM/Verve sales department earlier that month. This must have been one of the first releases via MGM, but labels still showing "Verve Records, Inc." suggest that there were still some label blanks to be used up before new ones showing "MGM Records - A Division Of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Inc." were printed.



W.B.lbl 13th Apr 2023		{Images #3264200 & 3264201} is an H.V. Waddell pressing. Wouldn't this have been around the time MGM first acquired Verve, given that Waddell pressed for MGM as well?
