cbs' (small)BRG 7000 series started in 1964 in the uk. the stereo prefix would have been (large)S(small)BRG - where a stereo record existed.
the small capitals were dropped by cbs during the late middle sixties, leaving the S prefix indicating stereo; as cbs shifted to "stereo playable mono'' and then largely only stereo, they dropped the S and introduced an ''M'' prefix on lps that were only available in mono because not recorded in stereo. (later, stereo lps might have an S before or after a CBS that may or may not've been intended as part of the cat# - just to keep us guessing...)
notes: the recording was made by columbia records in the u.s. (not c.b.s. records)
by cat# sequence, likeliest released in 1964 - but may be 1965 - see focus b's note on the (p)...
1961 is the copyright year; the CBS label wasn't introduced in the UK and Europe until 1962 (late April in the UK, summer in Europe), as stated in Billboard dated 28th April 1962, so this would be a 1962 release at the earliest, maybe even 1963.
