Notes

A legitimate re-release of French 1974 Skydog release (cat# SKGF 001). These recordings are mostly demos but they are good quality recordings.

Most likely recorded at the Blue Fox Studio, Dog's Bay, New Zealand in 1969. Not originally released until the French Skydog ‎release cat# SKGF 001 in 1974. The original release was titled "Animal God Of The Street" but this re-issue adds a "s" to the word street for some reason.

The songs here are delivered by Kim in rock shamen mode. Overall, the recording quality could probably best be described as high quality finished mastered demos. It's unknown whether the songs here were recorded with the intention of being released as a solo album or just recorded as songs Kim could shop around to other artists. For instance, the liner notes say the last song "Ain't Got No Transportation" was written with Iggy & The Stooges in mind. Who's to know what the intentions of Kim Fowley may have been.

What is certain though is that this is Kim at his best and if you like the sound of raw garage band rock 'n' roll, blues, soul, swamp and boogie then this is for you. The only catch is that you have to listen to a wigged out Kim singin' his weird ass off. To some his crazed vocalisations and the debauched stories are too much to take but to others, me included, this is the icing on the cake.
