Jasper 21st Dec 2016		Interesting the p.1977 only appears on side 1 after Bat Out Of Hell (which was 1977) so may only refer to that track does make it confusing.



PhilMH 20th Dec 2016		I don't have much knowledge on these things, but 1981 seems to be right going by the CBS matrix numbers, but an exact date might be hard to pin down because CBS and Epic seem to be in the 194xxx range until July/August when they jump to 200xxx odd, but looking at the Atlantic label page in 45cat, they were in the 197xxx/198xxx range around March, so this could be from around then. It looks like CBS must have allocated ranges of matrix numbers to WEA and any other companies that they pressed for in advance.

Lee Wrecker 20th Dec 2016		I think Jasper's the man (maybe Phil too) in the know on these kinds of releases but early 80's is my rough guess. Discwrongs has it listed as 1977 so no surprise there and the only date on the label is the same so it was an easy mistake to make Whassup.

plecostomus123a 20th Dec 2016		Not sure about the 1977 date. The Thin Lizzy track is from 1980 and the Status Quo one is from 1979.
