According to Petula Clark's official website, this is album is "songs from the film, preliminary versions that were later reorchestrated and recorded for the actual film". The Overture and Entr'acte is missing from this, whereas it was on the commercial release.

mikerhyl SUBS 16th Feb 2023		I now have this vinyl promo. It features the versions issued commercially . In 2006 a cd boxed set ( limited edition now sold out and very sought after ) was issued of alternative versions and orchestrations referred to in the notes here
mister_tmg 16th Feb 2017		There's also: Goodbye Mr. Chips (Promotional Album #1) MGM 1667 (USA) /1969 A special album of radio programming material produced to publicise the upcoming film. Album features interviews with Petula and Peter O'Toole. I can't find details of the track list though. The only archived auctions on Popsike are for a "Composers Corner" Promo LP on MGM, featuring interviews with Leslie Bricusse. Promotional interviews with Petula and Peter were on the Film Score Monthly 3CD re-issue of the album though, so I assume they came from the promo LP.
