Notes

Sidney “Tommy” Boyce and Robert “Bobby Hart” Harshman who were a songwriting team who had composed numerous hits for the Monkees, had made attempts to become professional singers before they became a duo of composers. Despite the fact that Mr. Boyce had many failures, he co-composed with both Antoine “Fats” Domino and John Marascalco the tune Be My Guest which had nationally peaked at #8 by means of the Billboard hit parade of discs di 45 rpm.

Shortly before Mr. Boyce and Mr. Hart had started to work with the Monkees, the duo had composed, produced and included lead vocals for the soundtrack of the pilot episode of the Monkees. After the Monkees were cast in their own television program, they had re-recorded their vocals over that of Boyce and Hart as soon as tunes, such as the “Theme From (The Monkees) and the “Last Train To Clarksville.”

While Mr. Boyce and Mr. Hart still collaborated with the Monkees, this duo had become prosperous recording artists, who had three albums (Test Patterns, I Wonder What She’s Doing Tonight, and It’s All Happening On The Inside) and three successful discs of 45 rpms, such as Out And About, I Wonder What She’s Doing Tonight, and Alice Long that were all issued by the A and M record company.

Even though this disc had peaked at number 200 of the Billboard hit parade of discs of 33.33 rpm, a near-mint condition monaural copy of this disc may still be purchased for less than $10 due to the fact that this disc is not well-sought after by many record collectors. Finally, this disc of 33.33 rpm was both monaurally and stereophonically issued.
