ReviewPrivate pressing, self released album from 1971. Wasn't sure whether to list artist as Reg Webb or Mr. Reject?
Whilst 'Quadrophenia' is a rock opera about a Mod, this is a rock opera about a Hippie!
It tells the story, in various musical styles, about a youth named Adam who has his own problems. Adam meets a hippy girl, Sue, who he joins a Hippie commune with, to the distaste of his parents.
There's plenty going on here with musicians from the North-East Essex Technical College And School Of Art, Colchester. There's an array of old time music hall, prog rock, psych and some nice hammond organ.
Top tracks for the psych/prog rock collectors are: Hallo, Stranger! (Psychy part instrumental), 'Disco' (psychy/prog rock hammond instrumental) and Mr. Reject (mid-tempo vocal).
Matt cover, stuck on labels. Track 10 on side 2 as listed on the back cover 'Hitch-hike To Freedom' is not actually on the vinyl.Tracks 8 and 9 are the other way around. I have listed the correct titles in the correct order.
