Vinyl Album
Notes First issue of an undocumented version of the "Get Back" acetate. This has several more seconds of "Get Back" and various other edits and differences from any issue that followed it. The audio is the right channel on both sides, from an original stereo recording. This version of the Get Back acetate aired on WKBW 1520 in Buffalo, NY on Sep 20, 1969, although this bootleg is not from the broadcast (in which they continually talk over the music identifying it as a WKBW exclusive). It has no catalogue number, only the matrix numbers @W Lipson A 12958 and @W Lipson B 12958. Its speculative release was no earlier than November 1969, as the title alludes to the "Paul Is Dead" rumor that circulated beginning in late October, reaching national attention in early November. O.P.D. is what millions thought the badge on the arm of Paul's uniform on the Sgt. Pepper cover said, and mistook its meaning for "Officially Pronounced Dead." However, if you lived in Ontario, Canada, you knew it was a badge of the Ontario Provincial Police, sent to him by a fan on the force.
