janiejjones 26th Oct 2013		Sorry if my comment was misread, I did not mean "my entries" were specifically rejected, but the matter came up occasionally from others also. Maybe I just solved the matter for myself with that "4 track" limit. I certainly do not want to get involved in discussions about "what defines an album: if the artist calls it that, the label (subdivision: what defines a "label"....) markets it as that, reliable websources call it that...", or styles, or any of the other things regularly troubling that other well known site (to which I contribute also, but mostly don't discuss, just stoically accept things). Lets go for as simple as possible for a start, and develop from there.



Billy Two 25th Oct 2013		JJJ, I don't think it's totally fair to say your entries were "mostly"rejected - surely it's only three or four that were queried ? And that was when 12" World was just starting out and everyone was trying to find agreeable parameters...we all had entries put before "The Board" and rejected (me included). Adding Guidelines For 12"World : "If it's 45rpm and under 25 minutes playing time then it's nearly always classified as a single or EP and is admissable (on 12" World)." I think we've tried to be as consistent as possible on 12" World, but it really isn't an exact science. ps. I agree there's something to be said for the suggestion of having all 12" formats in the same place !!



janiejjones 25th Oct 2013		I decided to have this and a couple of similar items on here, as I seem to recall them to have been mostly rejected on 12"world, if there's more than 4 tracks. I wouldn't mind merging all 12" into one database, anyway.

carryonsidney 25th Oct 2013		no running times on record or sleeve however cant be much more than 18-20 minutes for the whole thing. I thinking about it, I have a 6 track Merton Parkas record somewhere thats a bit like this..
