| | 1988 Music Master catalogue says June 1986, which seems reasonable. Certainly 1984 at the earliest, as that is when RCA centralised their European production at Sonopress in Germany and started listing multiple countries on the covers. |

| | These RCA International reissues with the NL cat no's are extremely hard to date. |

| | Discwrongs has 1985 on this one is that about right? No one has yet entered a date for this edition. Five members own it so someone must recall when it came out. I can't believe only one person on the site owns the US original release yet five own this one. By the way, it's me that owns that US original copy which makes me think is Lou like Obama and more popular overseas than at home? |

| | Whatever they did, they didn't do it all of the time....
labels added with "International" on, so this has been put correctly.
"Europe" I think is indeed the only country of choice for most major companies since the early 80s (CBS started earlier, mid 70s, Ariola also). Stuff was pressed, and royalties paid, wherever it was cheapest, and then distributed through national branches per demand. But country specifc releases stopped by then, except for nationally relevant artists perhaps (but off course manufacturing for those also was done in the European central facility)

| | Back cover now added, with a zoomed in scan of the distribution details, and price codes, for various European countries.
I purchased this in a UK HMV/Virgin I think, for about £2.99. So I'd really consider it UK.
I'm not keen on a "Europe" flag either, but this sleeve suggests it was sold in Belgium, Germany, France, Italy, Netherlands and UK (at least).
This is, obviously a reissue, originally issued 1973. |

| | This needs to be on RCA International - the Cat No is in sequence with other releases on the label and in many cases it seems they only put the "International" bit on the cover (thanks for that, RCA!) though it seems pretty sure it is indeed an "International" release despite the labels! |

| | It's for sure a confusing label with series of releases jumping between Intern. and Camden and RCA and more.
What I was thinking abot, was that we shall write "as on label" in every situation, but we can always add RCA Int. to the notes, or put it as a second label.
It also seems to me, that it's a German release (made in Germany), but that's maybe because I don't like Europe as a country.
What do you think we can do about this Graham? |

| | Good question.
It's because of the cover, which shows RCA International at top right.
I didn't initially add a scan because I can't produce complete sleeve scans, but I've done a scan, now added.
ps. RCA, with all its variants, is surely the most confusticating label there is. |
